Terms of Sale & Single-Site License
Effective Date: October 17, 2026
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Sale & Single-Site License govern the purchase and use of the Sawmill Hierarchy Builder provided by Reliability Intelligence Solutions LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By purchasing a Sawmill Hierarchy Builder license, the customer agrees to these Terms.
2. Sawmill Hierarchy Builder
The Sawmill Hierarchy Builder is a web-based product that allows customers to select installed sawmill equipment, configure site-specific equipment hierarchies, and generate a CMMS-ready hierarchy workbook.
The Builder incorporates standardized equipment hierarchy structures, classifications, and methods developed by Reliability Intelligence Solutions LLC.
3. Single-Site License
Each purchase provides a license for one mill or operating site identified through the Builder and purchase process.
The current price is $1,495 per site as a one-time purchase.
A separate license is required for each additional mill or operating site.
A single-site license may not be reused to create licensed deliverables for multiple facilities.
4. Configuration Before Purchase
Customers may create an account, create a site, select equipment, enter customer-specific terminology and asset information, and configure their hierarchy before purchasing a license.
Purchase and successful verification of the applicable single-site license are required before the licensed hierarchy workbook may be downloaded.
5. Permitted Use
The customer may use the licensed hierarchy workbook for internal business purposes associated with the licensed site, including CMMS implementation, equipment hierarchy standardization, maintenance and reliability data organization, downtime data structure development, asset-management activities, and related operational purposes.
The customer may provide the completed workbook to employees, contractors, consultants, software implementation partners, or service providers working on behalf of the licensed site.
6. Restrictions
The customer may not resell, sublicense, publish, commercially distribute, or reproduce the Sawmill Hierarchy Builder, the RIDS design system, the underlying master taxonomy, governed reference hierarchy libraries, source datasets, application software, or other proprietary materials of Reliability Intelligence Solutions LLC.
A single-site license may not be used to create hierarchy deliverables for unrelated companies or additional operating sites.
7. Customer-Provided Information
Customers are responsible for the accuracy of information they enter into the Builder, including site names, equipment selections, customer terminology, asset tags, installed configurations, and optional subsystem or component selections.
Industrial installations vary. Reliability Intelligence Solutions LLC does not represent that every possible equipment configuration or site-specific arrangement will be included in the Builder.
8. Intellectual Property
Reliability Intelligence Solutions LLC retains ownership of the Sawmill Hierarchy Builder, the RIDS design system, master equipment taxonomy, governed reference hierarchies, classification structures, relational data structures, software, documentation, branding, methodologies, and other underlying intellectual property.
The customer retains ownership of customer-provided information, including customer equipment terminology, asset identifiers, facility names, and other site-specific information entered into the Builder.
Purchase of a license grants authorized use of the resulting deliverable for the licensed site. It does not transfer ownership of the Company’s underlying intellectual property.
9. Nature of the Product
The Sawmill Hierarchy Builder is intended to help customers establish standardized equipment hierarchy data.
It does not perform equipment condition monitoring, diagnose equipment failures, capture downtime, perform reliability analytics, prescribe maintenance activities, or recommend engineering, maintenance, safety, or operating actions.
Customers remain responsible for engineering, maintenance, safety, regulatory, and operational decisions affecting their facilities.
10. Refunds
Refunds are governed by the Company’s published Refund Policy.
A customer remains eligible to request a refund after purchase and license activation as long as the licensed hierarchy workbook has not yet been successfully delivered through the Sawmill Hierarchy Builder.
Once the first successful workbook delivery has occurred, the purchase is generally final, subject to the exceptions stated in the Refund Policy.
11. Product Updates
Reliability Intelligence Solutions LLC may make reasonable corrections, improvements, security updates, or changes to the Sawmill Hierarchy Builder and its reference content.
Such updates do not expand a single-site license to additional operating sites.
12. Disclaimer
The Sawmill Hierarchy Builder and its deliverables are provided for equipment hierarchy and reliability-data standardization purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the product is provided without warranties regarding suitability for a particular customer installation, operational outcome, maintenance result, or business result.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Reliability Intelligence Solutions LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from the purchase or use of the Sawmill Hierarchy Builder or its generated deliverables.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the aggregate liability of Reliability Intelligence Solutions LLC arising from a purchased single-site license will not exceed the amount paid for that license.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
15. Changes to These Terms
Reliability Intelligence Solutions LLC may update these Terms as the product, business practices, or legal requirements change.
Updated Terms will be published with a revised effective date.
